Company Overview: Opportunity to join a well-established one-man company based just outside the Trafford Centre, specialising in a wide range of construction projects. With a focus on residential developments, housebuilding, and subcontracting for joinery and dry lining works, the company prides itself on delivering high-quality results to their clients. Due to their expanding workload, they are seeking a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join the team and contribute to their continued success.
Position: Trainee Quantity Surveyor
Location: Trafford Centre, covering projects primarily in the Northwest with occasional travel to Leeds and Crewe (a driving licence/car is not required).
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of tender and contract documents.
- Aid in the analysis of project specifications and drawings.
- Collaborate with the team to accurately estimate costs for materials and labor.
- Learn to negotiate and liaise with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Support in the preparation of interim valuations and final accounts.
- Assist in the management of project budgets and cost control measures.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- No prior experience required
- Competitive salary up to £24,000 per annum.
- Full training and mentorship provided by the experienced Quantity Surveyor.
