Description
Our client is a leading fabricator of products for the offshore industry. Due to recent growth and with new projects imminent, they now require a Facilities Lead to work from their busy North East facility.

The Role

Ensure that Subcontractors are working to their RAMS and to ensure that all works are carried out to in line with H&S legislation and best practice.
Review & understand the M&E installation programme.
Follow a Robust testing and inspection regime and implement it.
Read drawings and carryout quality checks and ensure any remedial works are completed in accordance with the system design.
Co-ordinate works of several contractors to complete project in a planned and timely manner.
QA inspections of all M&E Sub-contractor works and suitable monitoring.
Regular progress reporting on all aspects of the M&E delivery back to the on-site facilities manager.
Quality management of installation instigating testing and inspection plans.
Issue and attend TBT's.
Monitor, maintain and report against Commissioning plan/strategy.
Commissioning review of installed services to ensure compliance.
Ensure handover packs/user manuals are in production and are being monitored/updated.

The Person

Construction/ fabrication or engineering background preferred
Minimum NVQ Level 3
Experience of leading a multidisciplinary team
Project based experience
Ability to inspire change
