- Our client is a large fabrication company servicing the Offshore industry from their busy North East facility. Due to recent projects won they now require a Buyer on a full time permanent basis.
THE PERSON
Support the Supply Chain manager in achieving the objectives of the department in a safe sustainable manner whilst driving mutual benefit.
Place Purchase Orders for both goods and services.
Attend meetings both internal and external.
Ensure a close cooperation with internal customers to ensure expectations are met and joint working collaboration strategies are developed.
Implement Supplier strategies to ensure long-term cost-effective supply of materials and services.
Spot business trends that can be challenged and implemented into value driven strategies.
Support the business in internal adherence to good procurement practices.
THE ROLE
MCIPS qualification or have started.
Experience of working in a project driven business
Experience in the use of ERP
Fluent in the use of all of all packages i.e. word, excel, power point, outlook.
