- Our client is a leading engineering and project services company who provide bespoke solutions across a number of marine related sectors. Due to recent growth they now require a Controls Software Engineer to join their busy North East office.
The Role
Assist in the development, design and management of the control systems software with full involvement through the product life cycle from initial sales/requirements to after services support.
Help the company to push boundaries in technology and meet customer requirements and new ways of working.
Develop, test and implement new software to fulfil the functional specification.
Produce design documentation including functional design, software, and test documentations.
Support customers offshore and abroad as part of the system development.
The Person
Degree qualified in a relevant subject or with strong experience in software programming including scripting (if/case statements) with competency in any of the following areas to the cross over:
- PLC
- SCADA
- Application software design
Experience in the following is desirable but not essential:
- Understanding hydraulic schematics
- Understanding electrical schematics
- Understanding of electrical standards
- Rockwell PLC experience
- Intouch SCADA experience
- Jmobile (EXOR) experience
