- Description
- Our client is a leading fabrication company servicing the offshore marine and defence industries. Due to recent projects won they are now looking for a Project Manager to work from their busy North East facility.
The Role
Overseeing projects from start to finish including managing, coordinating and expediting with cross functional teams including fabrication, purchasing, commercial and sub-contractors on the project
Work with the on-site client team including making sure that all issues are captured, actioned and documented including analysis and updates of project schedules and agreement of variations to the contract with the customer
Assign responsibilities, duties and work scopes to project engineers and mentor the project team
Managing, monitoring and reporting progress and financial achievement to the team you’ll also provide technical feedback and lessons learned
Communicate regular project updates ensuring costing and financial information is accurate, planning and organising resources forecasting project labour requirements
The Person
Leadership skills including the ability to problem solve and adapt in a fast-paced facility to complete projects on time and within budget
Self-motivation, self-awareness and commitment to both self and team development
Commercial awareness of both internal and external influences to ensure both colleague and customer satisfaction
The ability to interpret and present complex information, managing large projects and thinking on your feet
An Engineering qualification or similar as well as experience within Fabrication / Marine / Oil and Gas / Construction or similar.
People wanting to move to a PM role from a Project Engineer position will be considered.
