 - 3D Inventor Design Draughtsperson – Mechanical Engineering
Location: Newcastle | Permanent | Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits
We are working on behalf of a well-established and innovative engineering organisation seeking to appoint a skilled 3D Inventor Design Draughtsperson to join their Mechanical Engineering team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional who thrives in both collaborative and independent working environments.
In this role, you will play a key part in the design and development of complex mechanical systems. Working closely with engineers and project teams, you will contribute to the delivery of technically robust and industry-compliant solutions, particularly within subsea technologies and cable lay equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers to produce detailed design drawings and specifications.
 - Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
 - Provide technical support and guidance to the wider project team.
 - Manage individual tasks independently, ensuring high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
 
- Proven experience as a Design Draughtsperson within the mechanical engineering sector.
 - Proficiency in Autodesk CAD software, particularly Inventor and AutoCAD.
 - Experience with Teamcenter PLM is advantageous.
 - Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and practices.
 - Ability to work both collaboratively within a team and independently.
 - Excellent communication and organisational skills.
 - Prior knowledge of subsea technologies or cable lay equipment is highly beneficial.
