- Our client is a leading provider of engineering solutions for both oil and gas and petrochemical projects. Due to recent workload they require a Lead Piping Engineer to work from their busy North East office.
The Role
The Lead Engineer will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and designers to ensure delivery of projects on time and on budget.
Effectively manage and administer piping engineering within the project.
Provide input to the creation of CTR’S and updating of the plan.
Responsible for progress reporting for the piping department.
Controls and manages all man-hour spend within the piping discipline.
Provide technical consultancy to clients on project related piping issues.
Develop and enhance the discipline through implementation of best practice in the areas of people management, systems and business processes.
Ensure the technical accuracy and integrity of the design engineering carried out by the discipline.
Administer and implement Company, and where applicable, Client/Project policies and procedures.
Supervision of discipline personnel, including Engineers and Designers, including allocation of work.
Project Approval, checking and preparation of design/engineering documentation.
Undertake and/or delegate discipline technical authority role(s).
The Person
You should have demonstrable experience in a similar role at either a Senior or Lead Engineer level.
