- Our client is a leading provider of engineering solutions for both oil and gas and petrochemical projects. Due to recent workload they require a Project Production Engineer to work from their busy North East office.
The Role
Drafting and optimising construction methods of projects that go into production.
Increase efficiency of construction methods and workflow from a safety and ergonomic point of view and work cost-consciously.
Provide technical support to production and is the contact person between engineering and production.
Process engineering can also be used to investigate modern technologies to achieve production efficiency and thus save costs and labour.
Checking technical feasibility and discussing with Project Engineer in collaboration with quality and production.
Drawing up construction methodology.
Preparation of building instructions for production of the specific project.
Determine necessary tools for installation (templates, lifting frames, supports, update).
Determine for which activities RAMS are drawn up in consultation with HSE/Production Managers.
Drawing up the logistics floor plan of production.
Drawing up lifting plans / support plans.
Using the construction method, look for improvements in terms of specialisation area, welding or blasting / coating or final assembly.
The Person
Ideally from a structural engineering background
In-depth knowledge of production resources (machinery, tools, etc.), raw materials and materials.
Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD
Similar production engineer/process engineer experience in a heavy engineering environment.
